Our Story

Where It All Began

We are Carpenter’s Café & Catering. We opened our 1st Brick and Mortar in 2020, just before the coronavirus pandemic shut down the city. We could not have survived without the support of our community, and for this we are extremely grateful.

Our establishment was born from a passion to serve others. As people who are active in the community and who get pleasure from people’s satisfaction with service. Feeding people comes naturally since we come from a history of cooks and a tradition grounded in family conversations around quality, savory, food. Carpenters Cafe hopes to replicate that for all of the community, Good food, and a family vibe!

Our Mission

To nourish the bodies and souls of our community.

Business Vision

Creating jobs and building authentic partnerships we are changing lives and narratives one bite at a time. We aim to provide good food, made from quality, fresh ingredients, cooked with love, and served with joy, from our hands to your hearts.

Core Business Values

Service

It is our belief that we were given our talents to share them, and so we use them to nourish our customers and feed our community.

Giving Back

We don’t want to be just another restaurant. We want to be a place where people can learn valuable skills. We want to be a business that uses our income and resources to give back to our community.

Inclusion

While we are a Black-owned business, we want to offer our community a space where all are welcome and all feel safe, from the customers to the staff.

Growth and Scalability

We are committed to maximizing efficiency by planning for responsible growth that allows us to leverage scale, partnerships, and multiple commerce options.

Business Community Involvement

We are fortunate to have been given opportunities to serve our community from the beginning. Some of our projects include:

Z

Feeding the volunteers who painted the Black Lives Matter mural on Main Street in Downtown Fort Worth.

Z

Catering lunches for the City’s summer reading program at Kingdom Manifesters Church and making sure that every child not only got a hot lunch, but also could take home a “snack pack.”

Z

Working with Heart Work to provide Thanksgiving dinners to 40 Como Elementary families and 47 residents of the Community of Hope assisted living facility.

Z

Working with MELT Ice Creams to create delicious ice cream sandwiches, the proceeds of which were donated to the Atatiana Project.
